Vanilla Cherry Cupcakes

 

I wanted to make the best of fresh cherry season so I baked a golden vanilla cake with fresh cherries baked directly into the cake.  A little warning though is that the pit is intact with the center cherry that tops the cupcake. Moist and delicious and perfect for the season!

 Summer is right around the corner and what better to accompany you than a pina colada cupcake while you are lounging pool side. 

These tropical lil cuties feature a  moist coconut cake with a dollop of pineapple goodness in the center and a coconut buttercream frosting rimmed with coconut flakes and finally topped with a maraschino cherry and a pineapple wedge.
(Can be made virgin or with Malibu Rum).
